Shipping policy

Shipping of Magic: The Gathering trading card singles, along with any other products or accessories, is available throughout Canada. At this time, we do not offer international shipping.

Shipping times noted at checkout reflect the amount of time expected once your package is provided to our specified carriers (Canada Post & Purolator). We aim to have products to the carrier within 2 weekdays of order placement.

Shipping may be delayed due to postal service disruptions, holidays, or other unexpected events. If your shipment is taking longer than you expected, please let us know at thebardandbear@gmail.com. While we do everything in our power to ensure any shipped packages arrive safely at their intended destination, the buyer assumes any risk associated with shipping, including lost or damaged items.

As part of our shipping options, we provide several alternatives to tracked packages:

  1. Standard Lettermail via Canada Post - This option allows up to 12 Magic: the Gathering singles to be shipped in a plain envelope. The cards are packed in a protective sleeve and sealed to, as best as possible, avoid any damage during shipping. Cards sent using this method are untracked and uninsured.
  2. Bubblemail via Canada Post - This option allows up to 30 Magic: the Gathering singles to be shipped in a bubble mailer, which provides more protection than standard lettermail. The cards are packed in a protective sleeve and sealed to, as best as possible, avoid any damage during shipping. Cards sent using this method are untracked and uninsured.
  3. Local Delivery - If you live within our set distance of the storefront at 237 James Street N, and have ordered at least $50.00 worth of product, this option is available. Cards will be hand-delivered by one of our staff within the delivery time noted. This is a contactless drop option; our staff member will place them in as secure a location as possible (mailbox, discretely on a porch, etc.). If we can not access a secure location to place them, we will return them to the store and contact you regarding alternate arrangements.   4. Local Pickup - You are always welcome to come and pick up your cards from our location at 237 James Street North. Cards can be picked up during our standard business hours.
